The Trade Union Education Centre at Derby College has been awarded the TUC – Unionlearn Quality Award in recognition of the work undertaken by the Centre.

To achieve the award the Centre demonstrated that TUC standards are met and acknowledged the good practice shown when working with unions through its designated Centre. The unionlearn Quality Award is only awarded to providers who are committed to working with trade unions and can demonstrate that unions and union learners are considered in the design, development and delivery of courses and programmes.

In achieving the Unionlearn Quality Award, Simon Ferrar, Manager at the Centre, stated “We are very pleased to achieve national recognition for providing training for Union, Health and Safety and Learning Representatives, including skills for life, on our course programme.”
