How did you find out about the course?

From UNISON Regional Office (Nottingham)They have been asking me to attend one for 3 yrs - ever since I signed up to go to university.

A member and now as a ULR.

How did the ULR course help you?

I wanted to find out what was involved.

Which aspect of the course was the most help?

Meeting other attendees, having a manual,

What motivates you in the ULR role?

Lifelong learning and having gone through the process myself.Be involved with a local ULR conference/seminar.

Which aspects are you most proud of?

All the courses I attended were challenging,interesting and FREE! And gave me confidence to progress my education.

What are the rewards and benefits to you?

I managed to make it to a professional undergraduate course, and attend other courses, and conferences.Writing a dissertation.

What next and plans for the future?

Good question. Finish my degree courseand depends where I work (if I can get a job) promote lifelong learning as a ULR.

Have a go - don't be put off.Have a life plan and what you want to achieve.See both sides of people's views.
