We would like to invite you to the unionlearn Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire ULR Forum.

This invitation is open to all Union Learning Reps in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire.The purpose of the ULR Forum is to bring ULRs together to discuss local issues, share best practice and for unionlearn to update you on the projects which we are currently delivering in your area, as well as establishing any help and /or support that we can offer to you in your role.

Agenda/Discussion Items:

 

  • Useful resources & keeping up to date – How do you keep up to date and share good practice when things are changing week on week? Practical advice on ways of tackling this through networking, email alerts etc.

 

  • Apprenticeships – Practical advice from a trade union and  provider perspective

 

  • “Your Futures” East Midlands shows work based learning, vocational and general academic progression routes

  • Trade Union Education - Looking at the broad spectrum of courses on offer for ULRs in the region.

 

Places are limited to 40 and will be offered on a first come basis, so please contact me (details below) for a booking form as soon as possible.

We are encouraging the use of public transport as the venue is walking distance from the back of Derby Train Station (Pride Parkway).

For those driving in, there are 2 car parks nearby both “Pay and Display” at a car park on waste land and at the Holiday Inn.
