Over the half term, the Derby Trade Union Education Centre will be moving to one of the College’s sites on Pride Park, Derby : the Johnson Building.

Refreshment Facilities
Catering facilities are available within the Johnson Building all day. There are also a couple of Restaurants / bars within close walking distance.

Car Parking
There is no on site parking. The Park and Ride service at Pride Park (postcode DE24 8AN) serves a stop a few minutes walk from Locomotive Way and the Johnson Building. The Park & Ride service costs £2.20 to park your vehicle and travel.

For drivers with a disability, there is parking directly outside the Johnson Building providing you have informed the Centre of your requirements prior to your visit.

There is a surface car park on Hudson Way (see location map link above) which is currently £3.50 per day.

Public Transport
If you are arriving at Derby Rail Station, exit from the Pride Park side of the station. Walk along Roundhouse Road, turn right as if you were going to the Encore Hotel. Do not enter the hotel forecourt but follow the road round behind the hotel. Opposite you at the end of the road is the side of the Johnson Building. To access the front entrance for Trade Union Education, turn left as you face the side of the building and follow the footpath round to the front.

Buses from the City
Bus service 111 (Park and Ride) departs from the bus stops outside the Quad (opposite the Council House) approximately every 10 to 15 minutes. From the stop at Egg (on Pride Park), you need to walk down to the next roundabout, turn right on to Locomotive Way and follow the road round to the Johnson Building.

The Trade Union Education Centre is currently investigating whether using Arriva Buses 40, 41, 44 and 45 and the Skylink service, which all stop at the front of Derby Railway Station, you will be able to access the passenger overbridge in order to reach the Johnson Building.  If so, from there please follow the route outlined above.
